Manual medicine has a great history and was been practised by the ancient Greeks. Hippocrates explained in about 480 B.C. that some diseases were caused by certain blockages in the spine.
Quote Hippocrates :
“Get knowledge of the spine, for this is the requisite for many diseases.”
In the Middle Ages, manual techniques were used as a treatment for backache.
The use of these techniques assigned more and more transferred to the so called bonesetters.
This evolution led to the origin of manual therapy, osteopathy, and chiropractic therapy in the 19th century.
In 1985 J. R. Gesret developped a manual therapy for the treatment of asthma and allergies: the Gesret method®
Over many years the application of these techniques, completed with other manual osteopathic techniques, visceral techniques and fascial chain techniques allows us now to bring you a more global approach which is broader than the original vertebro therapy: the Manual Neuro-Immune Therapy or MNITherapy
In order to practise this renewed approach with a safe and high efficacy, medical training is an absolute necessity.
